Meet Benson!

Benson is a gentle, five-year-old mixed breed with a beautiful cream coat and soulful eyes. He's a large, 75-pound companion who is deeply loyal, sensitive, and quietly devoted. Benson loves to be close to his people, whether he's joining you for a car ride, watching the world go by, or snuggling up for a quiet evening. He knows a lot of commands like sit, stay, come, and even gives kisses and snuggles! Benson enjoys chasing balls, playing enrichment games, swimming, and chewing on his favorite toys. He can be a little shy at first, taking a moment to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he's incredibly loving and attentive. Benson is also very intuitive and seems to know when you need comfort, often leaning in or curling up beside you.

Ideal Home

Benson would thrive in a calm and structured environment with a securely fenced yard that is at least six feet tall, as he has been known to jump fences. He needs a home where he can feel safe, supported, and understood. Benson is not compatible with cats and needs an adult-only home. He would do best as the only dog in the home, or with a caregiver who can provide very structured, gradual introductions and positive reinforcement training if introducing him to another dog.

Ongoing Health

Benson requires medication to manage allergies and support his emotional balance.

Training & Support

Benson walks well on leash but can pull, so continued guidance and positive reinforcement training will help him stay focused. He can be reactive with unfamiliar dogs and needs a thoughtful, well-managed environment to feel secure.
