About Bella

Meet Bella - the Golden Girl of Cozy Living! โ˜๏ธ๐Ÿ’›

After spending her entire life with one loving family, sweet Bella found herself at the shelter through no fault of her own when financial hardship made it impossible for her family to keep her. While that kind of change would be difficult for anyone, Bella has remained exactly what she's always been: a gentle, fluffy ray of sunshine. At 9 years old, Bella has perfected the art of relaxation. Long walks? Optional. Chasing squirrels? Sounds exhausting. A soft couch, a comfy dog bed, and a family to love? Now we're talking. This docile golden retriever mix is happiest enjoying the simple pleasures in life and being near her people. Bella has lived with other dogs, gets along well with cats, loves children, and greets everyone she meets with her sweet, easygoing personality. The only thing she isn't a fan of is thunderstorms.

Ideal Home

Bella is looking for a calm and loving home where she can relax and be near her people. She is not a fan of thunderstorms.

Ongoing Health

Bella has a condition called perianal fistula, an inflammatory disease that causes painful wounds around the rectal area. She is currently doing well but will require lifelong medication, monitoring, and a prescription hydrolyzed protein diet to help manage flare-ups. She also takes daily thyroid medication. Bella recently had a dental cleaning. All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.

Training & Support

No specific training needs are mentioned, but Bella is described as having an easygoing personality.
