About Froyo

Froyo and her siblings are a delightful litter of five pups, surrendered to PUP for re-homing. They were lovingly cared for by two mother dogs. Froyo's mom is described as a cream-colored, short-coated dog weighing around 30 pounds. We're not sure about the father, but DNA testing on one of the pups may offer some clues once results are back. Based on their appearance and the local canine population, we suspect a mix that might include Eskimo dog, a smaller herding breed, Chihuahua, or Husky. Froyo is the smallest of her litter, weighing 4.5 pounds at 7 weeks old, and we anticipate she'll be in the lower to mid-size range when fully grown. However, adopters should be prepared to love her regardless of her final size!

Ideal Home

An adopter committed to extensive socialization is key for Froyo to develop into a well-adjusted dog. This includes introducing her to a variety of sights and sounds like vacuums and trucks, and exposing her to people with different appearances and activities. Crucially, she needs many opportunities to meet and interact with dogs of all kinds. Puppy playdates, pet store visits, and socialization and obedience classes are highly recommended.

Ongoing Health

Froyo has been vet checked, vaccinated, and de-wormed. She will require two additional puppy vaccinations and a rabies shot at the adopter's expense. Her spay surgery is included in the adoption fee if performed at the PUP clinic by six months of age, which is a requirement for adoption.

Training & Support

The early months are critical for Froyo to learn essential social skills. Adopters should be dedicated to providing consistent positive reinforcement and a wide range of social experiences to help her become a confident and well-behaved companion. Remember, a tired dog is a happy dog!
