Meet Poppy!
Poppy is a stunning young lady, approximately 3 years old, who embodies the best of both American Staffordshire Terrier and German Shepherd breeds. She's a large girl with a beautiful, short coat in a lovely mix of yellow, tan, blonde, and fawn. Poppy came to us from the Yakima Reservation, where she bravely prepared to bring her puppies into the world. She has proven to be an incredible and loving mother, and now that her puppies have found their forever homes, it's her turn to find her own special family. Poppy is friendly, affectionate, loyal, smart, playful, curious, athletic, and has a wonderful sense of humor. She absolutely adores giving kisses and greets everyone with a wagging tail and a goofy grin. Whether it's hitting the trails, going for a car ride (her favorite!), or enjoying a cozy movie night, Poppy is eager to be by your side. She recently completed a 2-week training class and impressed us with how smart she is!
Ideal Home
Poppy would thrive in a home without other dogs and would do best with older children, 12 years and up, who can appreciate her size and energetic spirit. A securely fenced yard, at least 5 feet high, is required for her safety, even though she is not a jumper.
Ongoing Health
Poppy is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Poppy is house-trained and eager to please. She is currently working on building her confidence around other dogs and can be reactive on leash or in busy environments. With consistent training, positive reinforcement, and patient, understanding guidance, she is sure to continue to blossom.
