Shika is an Austrian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler mix) weighing around 10lbs with an estimated birthday of March 19, 2026. Her story began on the streets with her mom and siblings, where they faced the daily challenge of survival. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought to safety, giving Shika a chance at a brighter future. Now, this sweet girl is safe, loved, and eagerly awaiting the forever family she deserves. Shika is as sweet as pie, brimming with playful energy, affection, and the infectious joy of a puppy that brings smiles and laughter wherever she goes. Whether she's bounding during playtime, exploring new things, or snuggling close for cuddles, Shika has a special way of melting hearts. She dreams of a family to grow up with, one that will shower her with love, patience, and all the affection a puppy could wish for. In return, Shika promises a lifetime of happiness, happy tail wags, puppy kisses, and cherished memories. After her tough start in life, this little one is more than ready for her happily ever after.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- An alteration contract needs to be signed by an adopter to complete the adoption.
- Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
Transporation
Shika is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in the adoption fee.
