Percy #2 is a sweet, shy 6-month-old, 35-pound Black Mouth Cur mix who is ready to blossom into a confident and loving companion. He's still learning about the world and can be a bit nervous in new situations, but with patience and kindness, his confidence is growing every day. Percy enjoys playing with other dogs and has even shown he can coexist with cats. He loves toys and exploring the outdoors, though he's working on his leash reactivity around novel sights and sounds. Percy is eager to please and will reward his patient adopters with affection and delightful antics.
Ideal Home
Percy would thrive in a home with patient adopters who understand that nervous dogs need time to build trust. A confident, playful resident dog would be a great role model for him, and he could also do well with a dog-savvy cat. A calmer home environment will help him adjust at his own pace.
Ongoing Health
Percy has no known ongoing health conditions. His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, DAPP vaccinations, and rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate. Adopters will be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
Training & Support
As a young puppy, Percy is still learning many basics. He is not yet house-trained, is learning to feel safe in his crate, and may whine for a bit when left alone. He will need adopters who are committed to consistent, positive reinforcement training to help him build confidence and learn good manners.

- You will need to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee.
- A home visit will be scheduled within one week of Percy going home with you.
