Krockett

Krockett is a handsome, approximately 1-year-old Labrador mix who weighs about 55 lbs. He's a rescued boy currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to his forever home! Krockett is a wonderfully good, loving, and loyal companion. He's always happy, often sporting a smile, and is known for his intelligence, politeness, and playful spirit. This joyful and active pup would absolutely thrive with a family who loves spending time outdoors and enjoys an active lifestyle. He's already crate and leash trained, and he’s a pro at car rides!

Ideal Home

Krockett would do best in a home with a fenced backyard. An active family that enjoys outdoor adventures would be a perfect match for his energetic personality. Adopters should have an understanding of the needs of rescued animals, including the importance of patience and education for their behaviors. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly preferred, as is a high level of tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.

Ongoing Health

Krockett has been neutered and is up-to-date on his DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. He has been dewormed, tested negative for heartworm, and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

While Krockett is crate and leash trained and enjoys car rides, he is not yet house-trained. The rescue team understands the significant effort involved in rehabilitating rescued animals and may not be able to complete house-training for every foster. They will provide guidance on integrating Krockett into your home and decompressing him during the trial adoption period.

• A trial adoption period will follow if the match is deemed suitable.

Transportation

Krockett is currently fostered in Houston, Texas. He is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $250.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, will apply for this service.
