Amy

Amy is a beautiful 2-1/2-year-old Standard Poodle with a spirit that has blossomed remarkably. She arrived at our rescue with her companions in April 2023, having lived a life previously unknown to comfort and love. Initially, they were hesitant, huddling together, a silent testament to their past. Now, they are blossoming into the cherished companions they were always meant to be. Amy is still gaining confidence, and while she's making great strides, she can be shy. With patience and gentle encouragement, she'll reveal her delightful, affectionate poodle personality, showering her chosen family with love and enjoying pets, especially on her head.

Ideal Home

Amy needs a patient and understanding owner who will allow her to set her own pace and feel safe. A home with a fenced-in and gated yard is a must for her potty breaks, which need to be frequent (every couple of hours) as she's still working on her housetraining. She would also thrive with a gentle, respectful dog companion or with an owner who can dedicate significant time to her.

Ongoing Health

Amy is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She has received age-appropriate vaccines. Adopters will be responsible for subsequent vaccinations.

Training & Support

Amy is still mastering her potty skills and requires frequent bathroom breaks. Her shy nature means she may initially feel unsafe, but with time and consistency, she'll relax and become an affectionate member of the household.
