Meet Katie May!

Katie May is officially ready to find her forever family, and this sweet girl is more than ready to make up for lost time.

Katie is the last puppy from her litter still searching for a home. While her siblings have already headed off to begin their new adventures, Katie has spent the past several weeks recovering from a leg injury she sustained while playing with her siblings. One moment she was running and wrestling like any happy puppy, and the next she was limping and refusing to use one of her back legs.

After multiple veterinary appointments, x-rays, bloodwork, and several weeks of crate rest, the only thing found was some swelling in her leg. She simply needed time to rest and heal.

Today, you would never know she ever had an injury.

Katie is playful, energetic, and always ready for her next adventure. Her foster mom jokes that she's making up for lost time because this little girl is full of life. She loves treats, stuffed animals with squeakers, and curling up with her favorite soft blankets.

Although Katie didn't necessarily appreciate her weeks of crate rest and activity restrictions, she absolutely loved all the extra attention and cuddles she received during her recovery. This girl is a professional snuggler. She believes that multiple cuddle sessions each day are a requirement, not a suggestion.

While Katie may grow into a larger dog someday, she's currently still small enough to be carried around like a baby-and she fully approves of this arrangement. She loves being close to her people, happily gives kisses, and wants nothing more than to be included in whatever her family is doing.

Katie does wonderfully with every dog she has met in her foster home. She enjoys playing, wrestling, and spending time with her canine friends. She has also been curious about the cats in her foster home, although she has not had much direct interaction with them. Like most young puppies, she is at an excellent age to learn appropriate manners and interactions with other animals through proper introductions and continued training.

Katie is affectionate, playful, silly, and incredibly people-oriented. She is doing excellent with crate training and settles nicely in her crate. Like any young puppy, she is still working on potty training and will need a family committed to continuing her training and helping her grow into the wonderful adult dog we know she will become.

Katie has waited patiently while she recovered, and now it's finally her turn to find the family she deserves.
