Micaela

Micaela, about 2 years old, is a young husky who arrived at the shelter in significant pain due to a fractured jaw, misalignment, and bleeding gums. Despite her suffering, she showed bravery and resilience. Hoardin' Huskies rescued her and she received urgent medical care from Dr. Hanson at NVC in Nederland, TX. Her jaw fractures were old and untreated, leading to deep tissue infection and dead teeth. She underwent a full dental cleaning and had damaged teeth removed to relieve her pain. Micaela is also heartworm positive and is undergoing slow-kill treatment for a full recovery. Even with these challenges, her sweet spirit shines through as she enjoys gentle touch and watches her caregivers with grateful eyes. She is now safe and ready for a loving forever home where she will never be overlooked or in pain again.
