Kim is a handsome 1-year-old male mix of Border Collie and Labrador, weighing in at approximately 32 lbs. He's a joyful and energetic pup who is ready for adventure! Kim is sweet, loving, and funny, but he can be a little timid at first and needs time to decompress and build trust with new people. He's a very smart boy and will excel with consistent training. Kim enjoys playing with other dogs and is also cat-friendly. He's already leash trained, crate trained, and enjoys car rides! Kim was found abandoned at the shelter and bravely battled parvo, from which he has fully recovered.
Ideal Home
Kim would thrive in an active home with a family that enjoys outdoor activities. A fenced backyard is a must for Kim to safely explore and play. He needs a family with an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and who understands that they require protection and education. Patience and experience with dog behavior and training are highly valued.
Ongoing Health
Kim is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. He has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. He also receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He has a clean bill of health and a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Kim is not yet house-trained and will need a patient adopter committed to potty training. He is generally happy and ready for adventures, but his initial timidity means he will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and consistent training to build his confidence.

Transportation
Kim is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to your home address on the East Coast is available.
