Presenting Twinkle, also known as Twinkie! This tiny girl turned 1 year old on June 1st and weighs in at just under 5 pounds, so she won't get much bigger. Her exact breed mix is a bit of a mystery due to her small size, with very few Chihuahua-like traits. Twinkle is super friendly and full of playful puppy spunk! She's an active, energetic girl who would love a doggy sibling for daily play. Twinkle also adores laps, especially if they come with belly rubs! She'll shower you with little kisses and loves to snuggle under the covers at night. Twinkie is such a sweetheart; when you're preparing her food, she'll sit quietly next to you in a perfect paws-up begging position – it's SO cute! Twinkie's fur is incredibly soft, easy to care for, and she even doesn't mind baths!
Ideal Home
Twinkle has been around other small dogs and loves them. Her new home should include another younger, small dog and a securely fenced yard. If you don't have a canine companion, we'd be delighted to help you adopt two! Children in the home should be 8 years or older, or have experience with small animals, due to Twinkle's very small size.
Ongoing Health
Twinkle is healthy to the best of our knowledge. Her adoption donation covers her spay surgery, a wellness examination, microchip, heartworm test and preventative, distemper/parvo and rabies vaccines, flea and tick preventative, transport fees, grooming, a new collar/leash/harness set, and high-quality food.
Training & Support
Twinkle is a food-motivated girl, which makes training a breeze, and she absolutely loves dehydrated liver treats! She is approximately 90% housebroken and crate trained when let outside on a regular schedule. She is well-behaved, knows when to settle down, and is active without being hyper. So far, she's been a quiet dog with no excessive barking or whining. Her foster works from home most of the time, so Twinkle enjoys a lot of interaction and snuggle time throughout the day, and a similar adoptive environment would be ideal for her.
