About Bruno

Bruno is a handsome, intelligent, loyal, and loving 2-year-old German Shepherd who is the perfect adventure companion. He's a country dog at heart and thrives in wide-open spaces where he can be off-leash. Bruno is a true "dog's dog" and has never met a dog he doesn't like, bringing quintessential German Shepherd play energy. He is happiest in a home with multiple dogs and plenty of land to roam and romp. While Bruno is initially shy around new people, he quickly warms up and will be looking for scratches and cuddles. He's a very quick learner, mastering commands like sit, down, and place, and stays on place even with tempting treats. Bruno walks calmly on a leash without pulling and is not reactive to other dogs. When hiking off-leash, he stays close to his pack, whether canine or human, and has excellent recall. He's lived with a volunteer for the past 7 months, so we know exactly the type of home where he'll thrive. Bruno has great house manners and has never chewed anything. He is shy around children and prefers to get away from them, so a home with teenage kids or adults would be ideal. Watching Bruno play with other dogs or hike off-leash is pure joy; he'll be smiling and will come over for a "hug." After a day of adventure, he loves to cuddle on the couch but is also happy with some alone time. Bruno doesn't care for city living but loves car rides and will be a loyal companion around the house, in the yard, or out in nature. He will undoubtedly win your heart, become best friends with your other dogs, and be an amazing addition to your human and canine pack.
