Cesar's energy level varies; he enjoys playing and running but doesn't classify as athletic or jumpy. He is extremely affectionate and craves hugs and kisses, often snuggling into laps. Despite his size, Cesar is a gentle and quiet gentleman who loves being petted, especially under his neck and on his shoulders. He is smart but not overly curious, and displays bravery and protectiveness. Cesar enjoys being sung to, sleeping with his stuffed animals, and playing tug-of-war. He dislikes angry yelling or screaming. His presence is warm and comforting. He is house-trained and crate-trained, with no storm or separation anxiety. Cesar is comfortable being independent or alone, though he likes to be close to his people. He's okay on a leash, having been accustomed to acreage, and loves car rides. He has a high food drive and will happily accept treats, appreciating that he would never snatch food. His prey drive is average. Cesar is an owner-surrender, his previous owner credits him with saving her life, but she had too many animals and not enough space for a large dog. He is currently living in boarding.
