JD

JD is a handsome, approximately 5-month-old boy with a coat that's like a painting! He weighs 26 pounds and is believed to be a mix of Lab and Terrier. JD is a little shy when you first meet him, but he warms up quickly and absolutely adores affection. He gets along wonderfully with all humans, dogs, and cats. He loves to play and is a quiet observer, rarely heard barking. JD's life began sadly when he and his siblings were rescued from a crate in Texas after their mother was abandoned. He's a resilient pup who is now ready to find a loving and unconditional forever home.

Ongoing Health

JD is fully vaccinated and has been neutered. All our dogs are spayed or neutered, receive DHLPP, rabies, and bordetella vaccinations, are heartworm tested with negative results, microchipped, treated for parasites, and are on monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention. A health certificate is issued by a licensed Louisiana veterinarian.

Training & Support

JD is doing well with leash walking, potty training, and crate training. He just wants to be loved so badly and will blossom with consistent positive reinforcement.

• The adoption cost is $620, which includes a $395 adoption fee and a $225 transportation fee. MA and NH residents or those fostering in those states may have an additional $155 quarantine fee.

Transporation

JD is currently located in Louisiana. Transportation to New England is available. While meet-and-greets are not always possible before adoption, our foster parents work closely with adopters to ensure a good match. We also have a safety net in place and ask adopters to notify us if a match isn't working out, with options for temporary fostering or boarding.
