About Stewie

Full-Time Lounger, Part-Time Wildlife Watcher Extraordinaire

Stewie is a 9-year-old, 55-pound boxer-hound mix who’s mastered the art of lounging—with brief, glorious bursts of athleticism. One minute, he’s curled up like a cinnamon roll in front of the fireplace. The next, he’s galloping through the woods like he’s training for the hound Olympics. He’s got range. He’s a heat-seeking snuggle bug who thrives in cozy corners, soft blankets, and preferably a climate where winter is more of a suggestion. His fur is minimal, so yes, he’s a dog who owns sweaters and rocks them proudly. Indoors, he’s easy—potty trained, crate trained, not destructive, and generally down to chill. Give him a marrow bone and a sunny window and he’s good for hours. Stewie absolutely adores people. If you say “Hi Stewie!” with any degree of enthusiasm, you’ll activate the full helicopter tail. He’ll lean into your body like he’s trying to merge with your molecules. He loves kids, adults, strangers, UPS drivers—you name it. Just don’t ask him to share his space with other dogs. Stewie’s made it clear: he’s a people dog, not a dog’s dog. He’s lived with dogs before, but at this point in his life, he’s ready for a solo gig. He has a high prey drive and takes outdoor adventures very seriously—rodents beware. Stewie isn’t complicated—he just knows what he likes: sun patches, belly rubs, warm laps, and a peaceful home where he can finally be the center of someone’s universe. If you’ve got space in your heart (and on your couch), Stewie’s ready to make himself right at home.

Ideal Home

Stewie would do best in a quiet, country-style home where he can enjoy yard time without surprise encounters with neighbor pups. A secure fence is non-negotiable; if he sees something worth chasing, he’s not exactly subtle about it. He prefers to be the only dog in the household. Homes with children 10 years and older are recommended.

Ongoing Health

Stewie has minimal fur and will likely need sweaters to stay warm in cooler climates.

Training & Support

Stewie is potty trained, crate trained, and not destructive indoors. He is eager to please and loves people.
