Poppy

Meet Poppy, a beautiful American Staffy mix with an estimated birthday of May 6, 2022, and a weight of 56lbs. Poppy's story is one of resilience and hope. She and her three puppies were found struggling to survive in an alley before being taken to an overcrowded shelter where they were tragically placed on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. Thankfully, Poppy was given a second chance and is now ready to find a loving forever home where she will always feel safe and cherished.

Poppy is the epitome of gentle and loving. She has a soft, affectionate nature and soulful eyes that seem to express deep gratitude. She's calm, sweet, and finds joy in simply being near her people.

Poppy is a well-mannered and peaceful companion. She enjoys playing with her toys without being destructive, making her a pleasure to have around the house. Outdoors, she likes to explore at her own pace, taking in all the sights and smells on her walks. She is not an excessive barker.

Mealtime is a highlight for Poppy, and she politely takes treats from your hand. She also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with canine companions. She's also good with children and would make a loving addition to a family.

• Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
• Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
• Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
