Cholula

Cholula is a sweet, 5-month-old female puppy with the most loving heart. She was born in foster care after her mom was rescued while pregnant and injured. Thankfully, her mom's second chance meant Cholula and her siblings were born safe, healthy, and surrounded by love on January 14th, 2026. Cholula is expected to be a medium-sized dog. She's gentle, observant, and incredibly intelligent. While she might be a little shy at first, her true personality shines through once she feels safe and comfortable, revealing a loyal and affectionate companion. She loves to follow her people, relax by their side, play with her siblings, and get lots of belly rubs. Like all puppies, she's curious and playful as she learns about the world. New situations can make her a bit nervous, but with patience, love, and positive reinforcement, she quickly gains confidence and shows what a wonderful dog she is.

Ideal Home

Cholula would thrive in a home with people who have dog experience. She'd love a yard to explore and play in, and a calm, peaceful environment. Friendly and respectful canine companions are welcome, but she'd do best in a home without cats or young children. She is potty trained with access to the yard.

Ongoing Health

Cholula is vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed.

Training & Support

Leash training is in process. As she is still a puppy, she is learning about the world and may be nervous in new situations. With patience and positive reinforcement, she gains confidence quickly.

• Cholula is from a small local rescue in Mexico. If your application is approved, it will be forwarded to the rescue for review.

Transporation

The rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. They adopt dogs to the US and Canada and work with flight companions to transport dogs from Puerto Vallarta to an airport near you. During summer months, transport to Canada may require the dog to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border.
