Jenny (NEEDS FOSTER HOME)

Meet Jenny! This sweet girl is around 2-3 years old and weighs about 30 pounds, looking like a little lab. Jenny had a tough start as a street dog who sadly lost her puppies shortly after arriving at the shelter. Her early days with us were marked by fear and mistrust, but with patience and kindness, Jenny has blossomed into a completely different dog! She now adores people and will happily greet you with kisses and pets. Jenny has been staying in our bridge building program while we search for her perfect foster or forever home. She's an angel during the day, quiet and clean in her kennel, and reliably goes potty outside. While the leash is still a bit new, her incredible progress with other things tells us she'll master it in no time. Jenny is playful and enjoys the company of other dogs, though she's still learning how to interact playfully. She shows no aggression or reactivity, just a bit of nervousness when other dogs initiate play. She would do wonderfully with a calm, mellow dog who can gently show her the ropes.

Ideal Home

Jenny would thrive in a home with a laid-back, gentle dog who can help her learn to play.

Ongoing Health

Jenny is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and prevention, and microchipped. She is currently undergoing slow-kill heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Jenny is still getting accustomed to leash walking but is showing great progress. With a little patience and positive reinforcement, she will be a pro in no time!
