Ideal Home

Sandy thrives in a home with at least one other dog, as having canine companions helps build her confidence. A secure, fenced yard is a must for her to safely explore as she settles in. She would do best in a home with older, respectful children who can give her the space she needs to feel secure, as sudden movements can make her skittish.

Ongoing Health

Sandy is fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also had a heartworm test.

Training & Support

Sandy is fully crate trained and 100% potty trained, with no accidents in foster care. She is a dream on walks, remaining non-reactive to distractions. While not highly treat-motivated, she can't resist Colby Jack cheese! She is quiet and rarely barks, making her ideal for a peaceful home. She enjoys affection on her own terms, responding well to chin scratches, head rubs, and chest massages. She requires a patient family willing to give her time to adjust and build her confidence.

Transporation

Sandy is located in Texas and transport to approved adopters is available for an additional surcharge. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
