Lucy

Lucy is a 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who is ready to find her forever family! She's a smaller-sized Blue Heeler with a heart full of love to give. Lucy was rescued from a situation where she was living on a chain, but thanks to the kindness of her previous owner and our organization, she's now spayed and in a loving foster home, learning what it's like to be included and cherished. She's described as loyal, observant, smart, and while she can be a little bossy with some dogs, she's generally mellow and easy-going. Lucy is a champion at fetch and has shown no interest in cats so far.

Ideal Home

Lucy would do best with someone familiar with herding breeds. She can be timid with new people and needs a little time to warm up, but once she does, she'll be your shadow, supervising everything and giving you that classic Heeler side-eye.

Ongoing Health

Lucy is healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccines and preventions.

Training & Support

Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be near you), and leash trained. She loves affection but isn't needy. She's playful with most dogs, but if she doesn't like a particular dog, she may try to nibble their heels, which is typical Heeler behavior! She's a little quirky around small dogs, but otherwise walks nicely in public and rides great in the car.

Transporation

Lucy is currently in Texas. Out-of-state adopters are welcome, and we can arrange private transport with K9 Delivery LLC for an additional $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
