Athena

Remember Itchy from the Balch Springs, Texas shelter? Well, she's blossomed into the beautiful Athena we know and love today! Athena is around 1 to 1.5 years old and is currently in Texas, where she's finishing up her heartworm treatment. A massive thank you to her wonderful fosters, Michele and Ernie, for showering her with love and care during her recovery. Once she's all healed, Athena will be ready to find her forever family. She's already proven to be great with kids and other dogs, and with gentle supervision, she's been curious but very respectful of the cats in her foster home. Athena is a loyal and beautiful companion, and we think she'd be a perfect addition to the right family.

Ideal Home

Athena would thrive in a home with children and other dogs. She has also done well with cats in her foster home, showing curiosity but respect.

Athena is currently undergoing heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Athena has done well with cats under supervision, showing she can be respectful.

Transporation

Athena is currently located in Texas. Due to screwworm restrictions, we are unable to transport dogs from Texas to New York or Pennsylvania at this time. We are looking for adopters in the Northeast (outside of NY and PA) or Colorado.
