Banjo is a delightful Bullweiller (Bulldog/Rottweiler mix, possibly more!) born on September 4, 2025. He weighs 40 pounds and is expected to reach a maximum of 55 pounds as an adult. Banjo was found as a stray and initially faced a small fracture in his right hind leg, requiring crate rest. He's now fully healed and ready to embrace life with enthusiasm! Banjo is a sweet and affectionate boy who adores people, cats, and other dogs. He's incredibly food-motivated, which has made training a joy. He already knows "sit," "down," and "touch," and is learning to wait patiently for meals and be calmly leashed for walks.
Ideal Home
Banjo would thrive in a home with a securely fenced backyard, perfect for his energetic nature and love for outdoor adventures. He would also benefit from a canine companion of similar or larger size to play with, which might also help with his separation anxiety.
Ongoing Health
Banjo has undergone a full veterinary workup, including being spayed, vaccinated (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), microchipped, and treated for parasites (HWT, Drontal, Revolution). He is up-to-date on all medical care.
Training & Support
Banjo is working through separation anxiety and can currently be left alone for about 30 minutes. He previously tried to escape his crate when left alone, so he currently does best with someone home most of the time. While he may outgrow this, he may also be a dog who thrives with a constant companion. Banjo is sensitive and affectionate and craves connection and reassurance. He needs consistent training, reminders, and plenty of praise. He has a quirky exception: men in sunglasses.
