0854 Bentley

Meet Bentley, a charming 50 lb Australian Shepherd mix born on September 6, 2022. Bentley was surrendered due to his owner's medical issues and has since made incredible progress in his foster home. He's a silly, funny goofball with an adorable personality that truly shines once he feels comfortable. Bentley has a unique way of communicating his thoughts, often with a cute head tilt and perked ears when you talk to him, showing off his intelligence.

Ideal Home

Bentley would thrive in a home with another dog, as he does well with his current canine companions. A physically fenced yard is a must for him. He prefers a quieter environment with less coming and going. Because Bentley is still building trust and confidence, a home with no children under 12 and adopters who are patient and understanding is ideal. We are unsure how he would do with cats.

Ongoing Health

Bentley is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is currently receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required.

Training & Support

Bentley is described as a "work in progress" and is diligently working on his socialization skills, including leash walking and desensitization to various stimuli. While he previously had some fears, he's showing wonderful progress. With patience and consistent positive reinforcement, Bentley will blossom into a loyal best friend. He needs a hero and a new best friend to help him continue to gain confidence.
