Shiitake

Shiitake is a sweet little guy with a big heart and an even bigger smile! He just wants someone to shower with love. Shiitake enjoys leaning in for pets and snuggling up close for tasty snacks. He truly doesn't ask for much, just a little bit of your attention.

Shiitake would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of affection.

Ongoing Health

Shiitake will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before heading to his new home.

Training & Support

Shiitake is noted as not being house-trained and will need some guidance in this area. We recommend slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions to any resident dogs, allowing him time to decompress in his new environment.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All household members, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers, should be present to meet Shiitake.
• If you have a dog at home, we recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet-and-greets at the shelter. Please bring proof of up-to-date rabies vaccinations for your dog(s).

Transporation

Shiitake is currently located at Chicago Animal Care and Control at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. Visitors are welcome daily from 12pm to 7pm. Please plan to arrive before 5:30pm if you wish to adopt the same day.
