King

King is a magnificent 7-year-old, large breed male with a heart as big as he is! He absolutely adores attention and will affectionately lean his entire body into you for pets, just soaking up all the love.

Ideal Home

King would do well in a family home and is good with children. However, due to his substantial size and affectionate nature, he might accidentally knock over very small children or babies. We're not yet sure how he feels about cats, so a meet-and-greet is recommended.

Ongoing Health

King is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

King is house-trained and highly food motivated, making training a rewarding experience. While he might pull a bit on leash when he first leaves the shelter, he settles down and walks nicely once he's had a chance to relax. He has been slowly introduced to other dogs at the shelter. He can be a bit unsure initially, but if other dogs give him space and don't bother him, he settles in and does just fine.
