Josie

Josie is a 5-month-old, 19 lb female Retriever mix with a truly unique look – one brown eye and one ice blue eye! She's a sweet and lively pup who was rescued with her siblings and is now enjoying learning how to be a playful dog. Josie is adjusting very well, though she does enjoy being a bit of a bed hog and prefers the comfort of a couch or bed over her crate. She loves toys and sunbathing and is working on her leash manners. Exploring can be a little intimidating for her, so patience will be key as she continues to gain confidence. Josie is doing well with potty pads and is happy to have gentle children or doggy playmates to keep her company. While she can be a little timid at times, she is also very sweet and cuddly, eager to bond with her new family.

A home that can offer patience as she gains confidence exploring new things. She would thrive with gentle children or other doggy playmates.

Ongoing Health

All core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies) and spay/neuter have been completed.

Training & Support

Josie is crate trained but prefers sleeping on a bed or couch. She is working on potty training and is pretty good with potty pads. She is also practicing leash manners and may need continued support as she explores.

Josie is currently located in South Texas. Faith and Hope Foundation delivers to multiple states, including Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, and Virginia, with placement in adoptive families' homes.
