Masha is a stunning Alaskan Husky, about 5 years old, weighing around 55 lbs. She is a truly majestic dog with captivating sky-blue eyes and a noble presence. Masha has a calm and affectionate personality; she loves people and is eager to please. She learns quickly and has a wonderfully balanced temperament—loyal, brave, social, and affectionate. She's playful, fun, talkative, and has a charmingly curious nature. Masha does well in a crate for up to 12 hours without accidents and walks on a leash, though she can still pull a little due to her excitement. She is looking for a home where she can finally live the full, beautiful life she has been waiting for.
Ideal Home
An energetic family with other dogs and children would be ideal for Masha. She needs a family with an open mind about the behaviors of rescued animals and a strong understanding of dog behavior and training. Patience and high tolerance are a must, as rescued dogs may have had traumatic experiences and require an adjustment period.
Ongoing Health
Masha is spayed, fully vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and has one month of preventive tick, flea, and heartworm treatment (NexGard). She will be provided with a health certificate.
Training & Support
Masha can be a bit protective of her toys and may chew on inappropriate items when bored and without toys. Like many Huskies, she can be stubborn, loves to howl and bark, and may exhibit territorial behavior with other dogs, especially dominant ones. She is not aggressive but likes to establish herself as the "boss." Masha is not house-trained. Owners should be prepared for an adjustment period and understand that rescued pets may need extra patience and understanding.
