About Coraline
Coraline is a 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix who currently weighs 45 lbs and is expected to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, and cuddly, guaranteed to keep you entertained with her quirky charm. Coraline's favorite game is peek-a-boo, and her happy zoomies when you join in are infectious! She's a people-oriented pup who loves to be close to her humans, following them around like a little shadow. Coraline expresses her affection in sweet ways, like puppy kisses or a gentle paw on your leg. She's also a calm and balanced companion, happy to entertain herself quietly with a toy or bone, making her an excellent work-from-home buddy. Coraline is social with people and other dogs, greeting new friends with a calm approach before continuing her play or exploration. She's the perfect mix of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive, making her an ideal sidekick and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation. She's happy with leisurely walks, short play sessions in a fenced yard, or joining you on longer hikes and beach trips. She loves puzzle toys, treat-dispensing games, and squeaky toys. Coraline would benefit from a family that includes her in their outdoor adventures while also appreciating her calm, affectionate nature at home. She needs a home with a fenced yard and no apartments or condos due to her potential nervousness in busy areas. Coraline requires another dog in her forever home, as she thrives with canine companionship. She could happily live with older children and cats, especially dog-friendly cats who have lived with dogs before. Coraline needs her human home more often than not, but would do well with occasional doggy daycare.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has received any necessary vet care while in rescue.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still working on mastering leash training and would benefit from additional practice to build confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with rewards. Coraline alerts her foster mom when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a doggy door. She needs to be taken out every 3-4 hours initially to establish a consistent potty schedule. Using a doggy doorbell by the back door is recommended if there isn't a doggy door. She is gentle and sweet but is a large, goofy puppy who may not realize her size, so supervision is recommended around very young children who are still learning to walk.
