Poppy

Meet Poppy! She's a 3-year-old, 47 lb brindle beauty with the most expressive ears and a heart full of love. Poppy's story didn't begin so sweetly; she was found roaming the streets of Houston, Texas, and ended up at an overcrowded shelter where families passed her by. Just as her time was running out, a foster family stepped up to give her a second chance. Now, over a year later, she's still waiting for her forever home, but she's ready to fill your life with joy!

Ideal Home

Poppy absolutely loves people and greets everyone like a long-lost friend. She lives with another dog and does very well. She's also done well with children, but due to her energetic nature, we believe she'd thrive best in a home with older children, around 12 years and up.

Ongoing Health

Poppy is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccines and preventative care. She will come with a health certificate prior to transport.

Training & Support

Poppy is house-trained and doesn't chew or destroy things. She rests peacefully in her kennel when her foster parent is away. She loves staying active with walks and trips to the dog park, where she's made many doggy friends. She also rides great in the car.
