Lulu

Little Lulu is a very special 3-month-old puppy with a heart of gold. She was found abandoned in the trash, but despite this difficult start, she is incredibly friendly, calm, and quiet. Lulu was born with swimmers puppy syndrome, a condition that causes a flat chest and abdomen with legs spread wide, making it difficult to stand or walk. Sadly, she also sustained horrible injuries and had to have both of her back legs amputated. However, this has not slowed her down one bit! Lulu is a trooper and gets around very well, even learning to use a wheelchair. She loves other dogs and people and is eager to find her forever family.

Ideal Home

Lulu will need a patient and loving adopter who understands her special needs. She thrives with company and enjoys interacting with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Lulu has had both of her back legs amputated due to injuries. She is adapting well to life without them and is learning to use a wheelchair.

Training & Support

Lulu is still learning to navigate the world and is getting used to her wheelchair. Continued positive reinforcement and a supportive environment will help her continue to thrive.

Transportation

Lulu is located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We can arrange for her to be transported to a forever home in Canada or the United States via a volunteer flight angel to the nearest airport.
