Bear - APPLICATIONS CLOSED

Bear is an 11-month-old, neutered male Retriever mix weighing approximately 50 lbs. He's a social, affectionate, and curious pup who is eager to engage with the world and build strong connections. Bear's enthusiasm and loving nature make him a fun and rewarding companion. With time, consistency, and love, Bear has great potential to grow into a loyal, playful, and fun-loving family dog.

Ideal Home

Bear would do best in a home that can provide structure, regular exercise, and ongoing training. He may be a good fit for a family with children aged 10 years and older who are able to interact with him appropriately and respectfully. Bear has shown mixed reactions to some dogs, so our preference at this time is a dog-free home. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown.

Ongoing Health

All adult dogs at Animal Services receive veterinary health checks and are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas (if necessary) before going to their new homes.

Training & Support

Bear is still learning and will benefit from continued positive, reward-based training focused on confidence-building and clear communication. We recommend working with a qualified trainer to support Bear as he continues to develop good manners and important life skills, setting him up to be a well-rounded and happy companion.
