Niley is a delightful 1-year-old female Shepsky mix with captivating eyes and a beautiful coat. She's friendly with both people and other dogs, but sadly found herself at risk due to her long shelter stay and the stress of the kennel environment. Thankfully, a committed foster stepped in, allowing us to save her life! Niley can be a little shy initially, but her sweet and friendly nature quickly shines through. She's a gentle soul who enjoys playing with other dogs, preferring a calmer, less boisterous style of play. Unlike some Huskies, Niley is very people-oriented and actively seeks out affection, leaning in for pets. She possesses the typical energy of a young Husky but is surprisingly good at settling down and loves to snuggle with her family. Niley is already crate and potty trained and walks beautifully on a leash. While she's an easy-going girl overall, she would benefit from ongoing structure and consistent training to help her thrive.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced yard would be ideal for Niley. Previous experience with Husky breeds would be a plus.
Ongoing Health
Shortly after arriving, Niley experienced some difficulty with walking and balance. She has shown significant improvement with oral medication and now has very few lingering symptoms. It's anticipated that she may require ongoing medication, and her adopter should be comfortable managing these health needs.
Training & Support
Niley is generally an easy-going girl and is crate and potty trained, walking well on leash. She would benefit from ongoing structure and consistent training to continue her development.
