Nora is a vibrant 2-year-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix, weighing 32 pounds, with a beautiful caramel-colored coat and an infectious zest for life! She's a social butterfly who gets along famously with other dogs, children, and adults. Nora has boundless energy and a heart full of happiness; she adores running, playing, and staying active all day. Her past is a bit sad, as she and her sisters were found as tiny puppies struggling to survive on the streets in Houston. Tragically, two of her sisters were lost before they could be rescued. Nora and her surviving sister were saved just in time and given the chance for a loving life. Despite her challenging beginnings, Nora has blossomed into a joyful, affectionate, and playful dog, eager to leave her past behind and find a forever family to cherish. She's dreaming of a home where she can continue to feel safe, loved, and free to be the happy dog she was always meant to be.
Ideal Home
Nora would thrive in a home that embraces outdoor activities and can provide her with plenty of playtime and attention. A house with a fenced backyard is a must for her to safely explore and burn off energy. Her ideal family will have an open conscience about the needs of rescue animals, understanding their potential behavioral quirks that stem from needing protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is highly valued.
Ongoing Health
Nora has completed a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and has received a heartworm test and health certificate. She also has a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Nora is not yet house-trained. The rescue organization acknowledges that due to the high volume of animals in foster care, it's impossible to house-train each one. They are dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of their rescues, providing essential care, safety, and enrichment.
