Berti

Berti is an 8-year-old, 54-pound neutered male pit bull mix with a heart of gold. Though he has hind limb paralysis, he doesn't let it slow him down one bit! Berti is a master of scooting and navigates his world with impressive speed and determination, especially when a toy is involved. He's getting accustomed to a wheelchair, which will offer him even more mobility and freedom. Berti's previous owner was evicted and had to leave him behind, but this resilient boy is ready for a second chance at a happy life. He's very sweet, loves to play with his toys, and absolutely adores attention. He was even happy to get a sponge bath and rolled over for belly rubs!

Ideal Home

Berti would thrive in a home that can provide him with the space and patience to continue getting used to his wheelchair. His comfort and mobility are key.

Berti has hind limb paralysis. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

While Berti scoots around very well on his own, he is learning to use a wheelchair and will need continued support and encouragement to become comfortable with it.
