Oliver is an 11-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who is 100 pounds of pure happiness, enthusiasm, and a touch of playful clumsiness. He arrived with us as a young pup facing significant vision challenges due to detached retinas. We were able to provide him with life-changing surgery, and thanks to dedicated care and a bit of veterinary magic, Oliver can now see! This has only amplified his already joyful spirit, and he now believes the whole world is amazing and everyone he meets is his new best friend.
Oliver adores people, dogs, and life in general! He would also love cats, but unfortunately, his exuberance for affection can be a bit overwhelming for our feline friends. His "love language" involves a big, happy puppy embrace, and cats often prefer a more subtle approach.
Ideal Home
Oliver would thrive in a home with another active and playful dog who is looking for a devoted companion. He also needs a securely fenced yard where he can safely run, play, and explore to his heart's content. His joy is boundless and needs room to roam! This is an outstanding dog for a home with children over the age of 8.
Ongoing Health
Oliver has undergone surgery to address his detached retinas. He has recovered well and can now see, though he still has some vision challenges.
Training & Support
Oliver is generally well-mannered in the house and rides wonderfully in the car. He is a sweet, social, and affectionate companion who believes playtime is a serious lifestyle choice. Providing him with a canine playmate and a secure yard will set him up for success.
