Sage Cowan is a vibrant Shepherd mix, likely with some Husky in her, evident by her striking ice-blue eyes and boundless energy! She's a curious soul who is always sniffing, exploring, and loves to swim. If there's a pond, puddle, or ditch, you can bet Sage will find it! She's attentive to people, walks well on a leash, and is a quick learner when it comes to commands. During off-leash playtime, she enjoys a spirited game of "keep away" and would love a canine playmate, especially an active male dog who enjoys wrestling. Sage has also proven to be a well-behaved companion in public, even attending rescue events where she remains quiet, observant, and greets everyone with a friendly lick. She's athletic, healthy, and knows how to relax and be part of the party! Sage has been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, and is ready for her new adventure.
Ideal Home
Sage would thrive in an active home or on a large property like a farm or ranch where she can get plenty of daily exercise.
Ongoing Health
Sage has been treated for heartworms and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She is also on preventative medication.
Training & Support
Sage is generally well-behaved, but she does enjoy a game of "keep away" during yard play, so some continued positive reinforcement training will help her learn to share.

Sage is currently being fostered in Texas. Transport options are available to the PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN), and select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) through our transport partners. Canadian adopters will need to arrange to meet at a US location.
