Drogo

Drogo is an amazing soul who's been through so much pain and suffering but still has the sweetest and most trusting heart. He's also very smart and very affectionate. You will love hugging this big teddy bear! While driving back home one evening in Lebanon, a rescuer noticed Drogo dragging his leash, seeming confused and disoriented. Upon closer inspection, the rescuer discovered his neck was oozing pus and the smell was unbearable. He had obviously been neglected for an extended period of time, with an extremely tight metal collar cutting into him daily, to the point of almost cutting to the bone. The rescuer described it as the most horrendous neck injury she had ever seen. Drogo was rushed to emergency vet care, where the vet worked for hours to remove the metal chain and embedded hook. His wounds were cleaned and treated, and Drogo stayed in the hospital for two weeks until he recovered. We are happy to say that Drogo has fully recovered and is pain-free. He can run and play and is free to be the beautiful dog that he is. His best friend Taco was adopted in 2022, and now it's Drogo's turn to find his forever home in Canada! He deserves a better life!

Ongoing Health

Drogo has fully recovered from a severe neck injury caused by a tight metal collar and hook. He received emergency veterinary care and extensive treatment, and is now pain-free.

Training & Support

No specific training needs are mentioned, but Drogo's affectionate and trusting nature suggests he will be a joy to train with positive reinforcement.
