Meet Zena!

Zena is a spirited five-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/German Shepherd mix with a striking black-and-white coat. This 80-pound bundle of joy is full of enthusiasm, affection, and personality! She's a friendly girl who can be a bit cautious around new people at first, but with patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats, she quickly warms up and shows her loving nature.

Ideal Home

Zena would thrive in an active home with a physically capable guardian who can continue her leash-training journey. She has lived happily with children aged 9-18, cats, a small puppy, and rabbits. While she can be selective with unfamiliar dogs, she has a wonderful history of peaceful coexistence with various animal companions and is especially gentle with cats.

Ongoing Health

Zena is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is in good health, though she experiences some anxiety during veterinary visits, which is managed with medication.

Training & Support

Zena is house-trained and knows commands such as "sit," "paw," and "lay down." She also comes when called and enjoys car rides. She is strong and can pull on leash when excited, so continued leash training is recommended.
