Addie is a 4.5-year-old, spayed female Pitbull Terrier mix weighing around 45 pounds. She's a resilient survivor who was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas, where she was found underweight and suffering from mange. Despite her difficult past, Addie is a sweet and gentle soul eager to learn what it means to be a cherished house dog. She's a willing and promising pupil, already enjoying her new lease on life in a foster home. Addie is crate trained and sleeps soundly in her kennel at night. While she's still perfecting her house manners and may have occasional accidents as she settles into a new routine, she has not shown any issues when left to roam freely.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard for her to explore and run in. She's looking for a male dog sibling to cuddle with and sleep next to. While she could potentially do well with children, a home with older, calmer pre-teens or teenagers would be ideal. Supervised interactions are always recommended until everyone is comfortable. She also loves a good cuddle session and is enjoying her "Soft Life Era," so plenty of couches for her to relax on would be wonderful.
Ongoing Health
Addie has fully recovered from her mange and has no ongoing health issues to report.
Training & Support
Addie is crate trained and has been trusted to sleep loose without issue. She is still learning house manners and may have the occasional accident. She's not a very playful dog but is curious about other dogs, showing a preference for male friends of equal to larger size. Addie is a very hungry girl and will try to eat other dogs' food, so feeding her separately is recommended until she fully trusts that she'll receive her own meals.
