Meet Blu!
Blu is a vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix with a boundless energy that's perfectly matched by her big heart and beautiful brown brindle coat with white accents. She followed a kind soul home from a grocery store and has been spayed, vaccinated, and doted on ever since. Blu has shown gentle patience and a genuine eagerness to belong, living alongside senior pups and confident cats. She's ready for a space to stretch her legs, a routine to call her own, and a family ready to match her curiosity with companionship.
At 65 pounds, Blu is a large pup with a personality even bigger! She’s affectionate, incredibly smart, and motivated to please. Her favorite pastimes include fetch with her beloved soft frisbee, epic tug-o-war matches, chewing on yak cheese, and zooming around the yard like a joyful whirlwind! She also enjoys supervised shredding of soft toys and cardboard strips as a creative way to channel her natural need to rip and chew, and she hasn't chewed on anything off-limits in months.
Ideal Home
Blu would thrive in a home with room to romp and people to love. An active lifestyle and a family who has time to include her in their daily routine are ideal. A fenced yard is a big plus.

Training & Support
Blu knows an impressive list of commands including sit, wait, down, up, leave it, come, and more! She responds well to structure and loves training, especially when it comes with treats and praise. While she's still working through her sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps, she's made steady progress with positive reinforcement. Blu is still a young, energetic dog and can get excitable, which usually results in jumping up on people and cobbing, though her caregivers have done a lot of work to help her manage these behaviors. She can also be destructive when under-stimulated, so regular mental and physical enrichment is essential.
