Hazel

Hello, I’m Hazel, a playful and sweet American Bulldog mix with a white and tan coat and a big smile! I love to have fun and cuddle with my people. I’m house and crate trained and get so excited for walks, though I can pull hard because I’m strong, so I’ll need an owner who can handle me and teach me some manners.

I’m good with other dogs, especially mellow ones. We don’t know how I feel about cats, but I can be cat-tested if you'd like. I have a lot of energy and love to run around and play with balls. Because of my size, any kids in the home would have to be older (over 10). I also like to relax and nap in my own space and have a large kennel where I feel comfortable and safe. I don’t like to be outdoors for too long and prefer to be inside with my people. I’m afraid of being abandoned, so I don’t like to go far from home or my people.

Ideal Home

I would thrive in a home with older children (10+) and can do well with other mellow dogs. I need an owner who is experienced with large breeds and can help me continue to learn manners. I prefer to spend most of my time indoors with my family.

Ongoing Health

I have some digestive issues and require a special diet of lamb and rice. I need to be crated when unsupervised due to a tendency to chew. I am spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I am house and crate trained but can pull on leash, so continued leash training is recommended. I need supervision when not in my crate to prevent chewing.
