Violet

Meet Violet! Violet is a 1.5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart of gold. She was found roaming the streets of Houston, TX, and despite her difficult past, she emerged as the sweetest and most loyal companion. Violet is fully potty trained and walks beautifully on a leash. She's great with dogs of all sizes and actually gains confidence from having canine friends around. While she's kid-friendly, she can be a little timid around loud noises, so a home with calmer children would be ideal. Violet knows the "sit" command and is making great progress with place and crate training. She's a world-class cuddler who will army crawl across any surface to be close to you, and her tongue is often out in a happy smile. She is fiercely loyal and loves a good game of tug-of-war, especially with the hose! However, she is terrified of squeaky toys. Violet has truly survived the worst and still chooses to trust people. She's been shining at adoption events, meeting all kinds of new friends.

Ideal Home

Violet would thrive in a home with an adopter willing to continue her training to build her confidence. Having another dog friend in the home would be wonderful for her, as she gains confidence from other dogs.

Violet is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Violet knows "sit" and is making great strides with place and crate training. She needs continued training to help build her confidence. She is terrified of squeaky toys.
