Meet Orca!

Orca is a handsome Border Collie, estimated to be around 1 year old and weighing 45 pounds. He arrived at the shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed, but now he's on the hunt for a forever family to call his own. Orca is a friendly and active pup whose favorite activities include playing with stuffies, running freely in a fenced yard, working for snacks, and playing fetch with tennis balls! He's a smart, treat-motivated fella who already knows "sit" and "down." Orca walks nicely on a leash and is a gentle guy. He keeps a clean kennel and appears to have a great foundation for house training once he settles into a consistent routine in his forever home. He enjoys affection and spending time with his people, but he's also fine entertaining himself! Orca is sure to make a great companion!

Ideal Home

Orca would do well with children aged 8 and older. He did wonderfully meeting another dog at the shelter and has potential to live with another dog. A meet-and-greet with other dogs in the home would take place at the shelter to ensure it is a good match. He has potential to live with a cat with proper introductions, but a dog-savvy cat is a bonus!

Ongoing Health

Orca is available now through our Foster-to-Adopt program. This means he can head home with his future family while he waits for his scheduled neuter surgery. Once his procedure is complete, his adoption can be finalized!

Training & Support

Orca is treat-motivated and already knows "sit" and "down." He walks nicely on a leash and keeps a clean kennel. He has a great foundation for house training once he settles into a consistent routine.
