Archer

Meet Archer - a handsome, intelligent shepherd mix looking for the right person to finally give him the stability he deserves. Archer is around 4 years old and came to us locally as a stray. Since being with us, he's shown us that underneath his tough past is a really solid dog who thrives with structure, routine, and clear leadership. He has completed heartworm treatment and is ready for his fresh start! Archer has spent time in foster care and training environments, including time with Integrity K9, and has done very well. He rides great in the car, walks nicely on leash, enjoys outings in public, and already knows basic commands including sit and down. He's a smart boy who genuinely wants to connect with his person. He does well with other dogs when introduced properly and slowly, and he has also been okay around cats. Archer is not aggressive or chaotic, he simply needs an experienced adopter who understands shepherds or working breeds and can provide consistency and boundaries.

Ideal Home

Archer would do best in a structured, active home familiar with working breeds. He should not be placed in a home with livestock or farm animals. A secure fence is a must, as he can clear a 4-foot fence if motivated.

Ongoing Health

Archer has completed heartworm treatment and is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and deworming. He has also been examined by a veterinarian and microchipped.

Training & Support

Archer's recall is still a work in progress. He is a smart boy who genuinely wants to connect with his person and thrives with clear leadership and consistency.
