Meet Drax: The 70 lb lap dog who is sure to steal your heart! This handsome, approximately 8-year-old American Cattle Dog mix is our longest-running "underdog" and we can't understand why he's still waiting for his forever family. Drax greets everyone with enthusiastic tail wags, slobbery kisses, and a giant smile. He has years of love to give and is ready for a couch to call his own.

Ideal Home

Drax wants to be the center of attention and will do best as the only pet in the home where he can receive all of your affection. He thrives with a family that is home often, as he is devoted to his humans and enjoys constant companionship.

Drax is a healthy 70 lb boy.

Training & Support

Drax is well-behaved around other dogs in public and walks beautifully on a leash. He is also a perfect co-pilot and rides great in the car. Crates are not Drax's favorite place right now, but he is fully capable of adjusting with proper routine and training. The rescue will provide a complimentary heavy-duty crate to help him safely transition into his new routine.

Drax is currently in Houston, Texas. Out-of-state transport is included in the adoption fee for residents of MA, CT, VT, MD, NJ, IL, OH, MI, WI, MN, MO, ID, UT, OR, and WA. Meet and greets are available for local Texas residents.
