Some dogs leave a mark on your heart before you ever meet them. This is Cam. In the early hours of the morning a week ago, Cam and another pit bull were struck by a speeding car on Spirit Lake Road. His friend died instantly. Cam didn't run away. In unimaginable pain, he dragged himself to the concrete median and stayed beside his friend for more than two hours, refusing to leave. A kind stranger and a police officer stood with him in the dark, protecting him from traffic until Animal Control arrived around 4:00 a.m. The witness who stayed with him told us that despite everything, Cam was gentle. He let them comfort him. He never showed aggression. He just waited... hurting, confused, and loyal to the very end. Can you give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves?
