Tom is a 3-year-old Bully mix weighing about 45 lbs with a handsome black and white coat. He was saved from the euthanasia list at a busy Houston shelter and has spent the last two years in boarding. Despite his long wait, Tom has remained nothing but sweet, affectionate, and always in good spirits. In his kennel, Tom is calm and respectful — he doesn’t tear up toys or bedding. But when he gets into the play yard, he lets his silly side shine with big zoomies and plenty of joy. He loves people, greets everyone right away, and is wonderful with children. Tom is crate trained, potty trained, and comfortable with handling, grooming, and vet care. He enjoys the company of other dogs but is also happy to be independent, making him adaptable for a variety of homes.
Ideal Home
Tom would thrive in a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and play. We recommend homes with children 10 years and older to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
Ongoing Health
Tom is healthy and low-maintenance, though he is heartworm positive and currently receiving treatment.
Training & Support
Tom will benefit from consistent leash training and a confident handler who can provide structure, since he doesn’t yet know many commands and can be stubborn at times.
