Meet Andy: Your Dog’s New Best Friend (and Yours Too!)
Andy is a 2-year-old Retriever mix, weighing in at a perfect 50-55 lbs. He was rescued in Texas with his siblings after being abandoned, but has since shown incredible resilience and a loving spirit. Andy is a true gentleman, house-trained, crate-trained, and has settled beautifully into his foster home. He's respectful, adaptable, and has a wonderful "old soul" vibe. While he might be a little shy when meeting new people, his soft and affectionate personality quickly shines through. Andy thrives on routine, companionship, and being part of the action, whether it's going for walks, playing with other dogs, or simply relaxing nearby. He walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and is eager to please.
Ideal Home
Andy would be happiest in a calm, loving environment with people who appreciate a loyal, kindhearted companion. His dream home would include another dog for him to pal around with, as he is incredibly dog-friendly and thrives around other pups. A yard is a bonus, but his biggest requirement is love, consistency, and a canine buddy to share life with. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended for the best fit.
Ongoing Health

Training & Support
Andy is already house-trained and crate-trained. He walks nicely on leash and takes treats gently, indicating a good foundation for further training. His eagerness to please will make him a joy to train further.
