Mona

Mona is a beautiful 2-year-old Mountain Cur mix who found herself in our care through no fault of her own. Her previous owner fell on hard times, and Mona and her canine companions were surrendered to find new, loving homes. Now, Mona is embracing her new journey and discovering what it means to be a cherished pet. She's a sweet, intelligent, and active girl who enjoys the company of other dogs. Mona is an energetic goofball with an absolute obsession for squeaky toys! Volunteers have raved about her, describing her as wonderful, independent in a good way, and enjoying both affection and her own space. She walks well on a leash, loves to explore with her nose, and did a great job sitting patiently during a restaurant outing. While she sometimes wanted to greet passersby and other dogs, she was a good listener when asked to return to her spot or settle down. We've promised Mona that her life from here on out will be the best one yet, and we hope you'll consider making that promise a reality for her.

Mona is an independent spirit who enjoys her own adventures but also loves to cuddle. She gets along well with other dogs.

Mona is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Mona is still learning and settling into her new life. While she's a good listener, she may need continued guidance as she fully blossoms into her "real dog" persona.

Transporation

Mona is located in South Carolina and we provide transport to the northeastern United States weekly. If you are not located along the East Coast, you will need to be willing to travel to pick up your pet. We offer local or virtual meet-and-greets once an application is on file.
